A. Colbrook Baddour smallColby is a trial lawyer based in Pulaski, Tennessee who serves clients throughout the state. Through his litigation practice, Colby is regularly called upon to assist clients with complex criminal and civil disputes in both State and Federal court. 

In addition to trial work, Colby devotes a considerable amount of his practice counseling families with estate and trust issues.  

Colby is admitted to practice in all Tennessee State Courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. 

Colby is active in the leadership of his Church, currently serving as the Chair of the Church Council. In his free time, Colby enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling with his bride and golfing when the occasion allows.

Honors & Awards

Super Lawyers--In 2018, Colby was first selected by SuperLawyers as a Rising Star. Colby was again recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2019. The Rising Stars list recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state who are 40 years old or younger and in practice 10 years or less.  

National College of Advocacy--Colby as been recognized as an advocate by the National College of Advocacy's Achievement Recognition Program.

Attorneys for Justice--Colby continues to be honored by the Tennessee Supreme Court with the Pro Bono Service Award in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Giles County Bar Association--Colby served as President of the Giles County Bar Association from 2013 thru 2015.

Board of Mayor and Aldermen, Pulaski Tennessee--In 2008, Colby was elected to serve on the Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen, and was re-elected in 2012. Colby was the youngest person ever to be elected to the city’s legislative body. Colby did not seek relection in 2016. 

Law School Honor Council--While in law school, Colby was selected by his peers to serve as Vice President of the school’s honor council, a student organization tasked with enforcing the school’s honor code.
